Rafa has followed in the footsteps of David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo by modelling for Armani. The company's director of public relations, Roberta Armani, said: "He is not just an amazing sportsman but also an artist. I'm so proud he is joining the family."

As a young child, Erko left his war-torn homeland behind to find sanctuary in the Belgian city of Antwerp. At the age of sixteen, he started lifting weights to combat a leg injury and became addicted to working out. Encouraged by the owner and trainer at one gym, Erko decided to enter his first bodybuilding competition. On his debut appearance, he won the first of his three Belgian junior titles.

In his second career as a male model, Erko has worked with renowned photographers such as Dirk Alexander, Xavier Baeyens and Kevin De Borger.

This video accompaniment features Erko in costumes designed by Romain Brau with additional styling by Shandor ten Hoven. The concept was devised and photographed by Dirk Alexander with illustrations by Achraf Amiri.

In a somewhat bizarre setting, Erko is photographed by Dirk Alexander. The images are hauntingly beautiful, but their meaning escapes me. The only thing I can say with certainty is that 'Vatra' is the Bosnian word for 'Fire'.
