Stanislas Wawrinka is a professional tennis player from Switzerland. He was born in Lausanne in 1985 to a German father of Czech-Polish descent and a Swiss mother. Stan turned professional in 2002, reaching his highest world ranking of three in January 2014. He is a right-handed player with a particularly powerful one-handed backhand.

On the 15th December, 2009, Stan married former model Ilham Vuilloud. They celebrated the birth of their daughter, Alexia, on the 12th February, 2010. Unfortunately, the couple announced their separation in January 2011.
